Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. The joint Bible study for women of South Sea Evangelical Church has finished. The women were all satisfied and filled with joy.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。南海福音教會的婦女聯合查經會結束了。女士們都充滿了滿足的喜樂。
But they don’t give themselves a break yet. This Thursday, they are going to have another joint gathering that will last for 4 days in a village 2 hours away down the river.
但是她們還沒消停，這星期四，又要搭船兩個小時到另一個村子參加一個為期四天的聯合聚會。
And some people go to their hometown for the Christmas holiday. One of my students have decided to go back to her hometown, too since I had announced that we would not have sewing classes this month. When she was about to get on the boat yesterday, she came to Douglas with her concern and said, “I am going to be away for two weeks. Please don’t let Sandy run the sewing class without me.”
有一些人慣例回家鄉過聖誕假期。既然我們決定這個月不上縫紉課，我其中一個學生也決定要回家鄉。上船之前她有點擔心地來找道格拉斯說：「我接下來有兩個星期不在這兒，我不在時拜託別讓Sandy開縫紉課呀！」
In Ambunti, not only the weather is hot, there is no Christmas trees, Christmas socks, Christmas carol, Christmas dramas, or any Christmas decorations that I used to suppose to be necessary for generating Christmas atmosphere. Not having the outward evidences makes me think twice harder what Christmas really mean to us. Have we been used to being made to fall into the stereotype of Christmas? We should come back to Bible and think deeply what Christmas mean to us personally, shouldn’t we?
在安布恩提，不單氣候炎熱，這裡沒有聖誕樹、聖誕襪、聖誕頌歌、聖誕話劇，也沒有任何我以往以為產生聖誕氣氛不可或缺的聖誕飾品。這些外在象徵的缺席讓我更加細細思量聖誕節真正的意涵。我們是否太習慣陷入聖誕節的刻板印象？應該回歸聖經深入思考聖誕節對我們個人的意義，不是嗎？

2. May God bless PIM’s project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG.
願上帝賜福PIM與新幾內亞教育部與的合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。
3. MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) has had three accidents this year. They are elevating the standard of requirements to the airstrips in the villages. May God bless them in enforcing their new regulation.
MAF（宣教飛行團契）今年發生了三起事故。 他們正在提高各村莊裡飛機跑道的要求標準。 願上帝保守他們執行新的規定。
4. May God grant Douglas wisdom in coordinating with our mission partners about their itineraries and accommodations for the trainings in January and February.

5. There are boat robberies in the area of East Sepik River reported again. May God’s grant His Divine Protection to us.

6. Douglas is to make a shopping trip to Australia in the beginning of January. May God pay our way in booking the flights.
道格拉斯一月初有採購任務必須到澳洲，願神開路使我們順利訂位航班。
7. May God remember Douglas’ hard working and bless him with a good apatite and good health.
願上帝記念道格拉斯的工作辛勞，保守他有好的食慾及健康的身體。
8. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。
9. We have thunderstorms and extremely heavy rain at night these weeks. And, in this weather, I am badly bothered by countryside insect bites that I am quite sensitive to. May God heal me and protect me from skin inflammation.
這幾個星期夜裡常常雷電交加，暴雨連連。在這樣的氣候裡，Sandy的皮膚對鄉間蚊蟲叮咬反應過敏，十分困擾。求神醫治我，保護我免於皮膚炎症。
10. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
11. My brother is having a hard time taking care of my parents whom are not communicable with. May God have mercy upon him.
Sandy的弟弟照顧無法溝通的父母，十分辛苦。願神憐憫他。
