Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. And we particularly thank you for participating in fund raising for the sewing resource in Ambunti. According to commitments we have received, we are going to fulfill the desire of purchasing commercial quality sewing machines for the training course, a generator for SSEC church in Ambunti. We would like to give this church more help with more of what the church’s Dorcas Fellowship need, and extend the sewing resource center in Ambunti. Glory to the Lord.

感謝您忠心為我們禱告。我們特別感謝大家參與為安布恩提縫紉資源募款上出一份力。根據我們目前得知的認獻，足以得願購買訓練課程要用的專業品質縫紉機以及安布恩提南海福音教會的發電機。我們會更多資助教會發展多加團契所需的物資，並且擴大安布恩提的縫紉資源中心。唯願將榮耀歸給我們的主。

The scene of Elisha’s and the Widow’s Oil (2King 4:1-7) comes so clear to my mind. Douglas and I are the “widow”. The effort we do in PNG is the our “oil”. And your participation is as good as the “neighbors’ containers” that bring God more and more glory through the miracle than only Douglas and I with a bottle of oil. God is good and wonderful.
列王紀下四章1-7節中以利沙和寡婦的一瓶油的景象很清晰出現在我腦海。道格拉斯和我是那「寡婦」，我們為新幾內亞所做的努力是我們的那瓶「油」，大家的參與就是「鄰居們的器皿」。相較道格拉斯和我僅有的一瓶油所能及的，大家的參與讓神蹟帶給神的榮耀加添更加添。神是多麼美善！

This week has been our week of traveling. We drove two days to visit Jerry and Geneva in Riggins Idaho, and stayed 2 days with them. Jerry and Geneva are brother and sister-in-law of Douglas’ late father-in-law. They had been praying for us though I had never met them. Geneva and I had been FB friends to each other and she had “tasted” a lot of my cooking on my FB. It’s nice that we, not virtually, got together, talking, cooking, eating, reading Bible, and praying together in person. Driving two days back to Reno, we attended the wedding of a nephew on Douglas’ late wife’s side today (Saturday). And after Sunday service, we will be starting our journey leaving the country since my American visa is to going to be expired soon.

這周是長途跋涉的一周。我們開車兩天去愛達荷州里金斯拜訪傑瑞和日妮芙，並在他們那裡住了兩天。傑瑞和日妮芙是道格拉斯已故岳父的弟弟和弟媳。過去我與他們未曾謀面，他們卻一直在為我們祈禱。日妮芙和我在臉書上早已是好友，她在我的臉書上「品嚐」過很多我做的料理。很高興這次我們不是在網路上，能真正地聚在一起，一起聊天、煮東西、吃飯、讀聖經、一起禱告。我們又開車兩天返回里諾，今天（星期六）參加道格拉斯已故妻子的侄子的婚禮。週日崇拜後，我們將開始離境的旅程，因為我的美國簽證即將到期。

Sandy's update 代禱通訊寡婦與鄰居 20240706

During our long journey, I managed to finish translating Douglas’ update of June. It mentioned how and why your support has turned into the vessel for delivering Good News of Christ. Translating it, my eyes were opened to God’s tender mercy to people in the remote area in PNG. They are not forgotten. Please click in the link of this update at the end of this letter. Hopefully, it brings you more about PIM and more about God.

My re-entry permit to PNG is not granted yet though our agent has been keeping trying hard. We are going to Japan and stay for two weeks first since we don’t think the re-entry permit is going to pop out that soon. Then we will go to Cairns Australia and wait there. Waiting can be frustrating. But as we are the “widow” with merely a bottle of oil. What we do is merely listen and obey God even if we eventually go back to PNG on short-term visa. Instead of complaining, I am going to treasure our time waiting and brush up my Japanese.
儘管我們的代辦人一直在努力，但我的新幾內亞再入境許可尚未獲得核發。心想再入境許可證不會那麼快發放，我們要先去日本待兩週，隨後前往澳洲凱恩斯等候。等待可能會令人沮喪，但我們既是〝寡婦〞，只有一瓶油，我們所做的只是傾聽和服從上帝，即使我們最終最壞的打算是以短期簽證返回新幾內亞。與其抱怨，不如珍惜等待的時間好好藉此溫習日語。

1. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。

2. May God grant wisdom to the issue-solving committee after PIM USA board’s meeting in doing His will.
求神賞賜智慧給PIM美國理監事會議會後議題處理委員會，遵行祂的旨意行事。

3. Over the past year, due to the banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.
近一年來，由於新幾內亞的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。願上帝在銀行事務的難題中掌權。

4. Besides the tasks in the USA, Douglas is handling the tasks of PIM happening in PNG, working day and night. May God remember his hard-working and bless him with good health.
道格拉斯日夜工作，除了處理美國PIM的事務，同時也要掌握PIM在新幾內亞正在進行的各項事務。求神記念他的辛勞，賞賜給他健康的身體。

5. May God grant wisdom and patience to the trained women in the sewing training course in developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in the local churches.
求神保守在縫紉訓練課程受訓的學員，讓她們有智慧及耐心在當地發展多加團契縫紉事工。

6. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。

7. My mother is not recovering well from a fractured arm. May God heal her.
Sandy的媽媽手臂的骨折復原狀況不佳，求神醫治她。

8.May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

9. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
