Shalom, dear all!
Happy New Year! With help from a church friend, I managed to finished the complicate work with the banks right before the bank shut down the gate on the 24th, and Douglas and I hopped on the plane on the 25th. God blessed us with an unexpected assist of the airport staff escorting us through hundreds of waiting people. We arrived in Wewak, PNG on the morning of 26th.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：

新年快樂！在一位姐妹的幫助下，我在24號剛剛好在銀行關門前完成了頗為複雜的銀行事務，我和道格拉斯於25號登上了飛機。感謝上帝保守我們，出乎意料地我們得到機場工作人員特別的協助，護送我們穿過數百名等候的人群。我們於26日早上抵達新幾內亞的威瓦克。

Our journey is not done yet. We have been doing purchasing tasks in Wewak since we arrived, including buying 4 industrial sewing machines. It’s sad to know the MAF has withdrawn their hangar in Wewak. That means we will not able to take a plane to the remote areas. And this week, we will have to go to Ambunti by car and by boat. As my eyes had very bad bloodshot from the frequent bumpy car ride earlier this year, and it has caused me kind of trauma, I am trying to get as much rest as I can before our trip on the road. (Thinking about the bumpy ride on the road, I feel like someone knocking the back of my head.)
我們的旅程還沒結束。抵達威瓦克之後一直忙於採購任務，包括購買4台工業縫紉機。得知宣教飛行團契撤離了威瓦克的機棚，我還挺難過的。沒有小飛機可搭了，這個星期，我們必須乘車和乘船前往安布恩提。由於今年年初頻繁顛簸的車程，我的眼睛出現了嚴重的充血，這給我造成了一些心理陰影，所以我在上路之前盡可能多地休息。(我現在一想到顛簸的車程，就覺得有人在敲我的後腦勺。)

As you can see, we missionaries are not Superman or Superwoman. And we can be fragile physically or mentally. The reason we serve in the mission field is merely that we have responded with “GO” to God’s calling.   

 
正如你所看到的，我們宣教士不是超人，也是會有身體及心理的軟弱。我們前往宣教禾場服事的原因只是我們以實際行動「去」回應了神的呼召。

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
  baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28;19, 20)

所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，
奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗。
凡我所吩咐你們的，都教訓他們遵守，
我就常與你們同在，直到世界的末了。
(馬太福音28: 19, 20)

1.   May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.    The elevation of fuel price and unavailability of fuel have significantly affected our ministries in PNG. And we have to reduce the hours of running the generator in PIM Headquarter in Ambunti and cut down necessary boat trips that all staff would make. May God grant us His sufficiency to us.
燃料價格的上漲和燃料的供缺嚴重影響了我們在新幾內亞的事工。我們必須減少 PIM在安布恩提總部的發電機運行時間，並砍減所有工作人員必要的開船出任務的航行。求神供應。

3.   Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

4.    We are planning to leave Wewak for Ambunti on January 2nd.  May God grant His divine protection on the bumpy car ride on the road and the boat ride on the river, and grant me enough strength to get through the journey.  
我們計劃於 1 月 2 日離開威瓦克前往安布恩提。 願上帝在顛簸路上行車、在河上行船時賜下屬天的保護，並賜予我足夠的力量安度這趟旅程。。

5.    I have been having a fever for a few days. May God heal me.  
Sandy已經發燒數天。願上帝醫治。

6.   With multi-duties, Douglas works day and night. May God grant he good health.
道格拉斯身兼眾多職務，日夜工作。願上帝賞賜給他健康的身體。

7.   May God bless the sewing ministry “Dorcas Fellowship” in churches in the Ambunti area. 
願上帝保守安布恩提地區教會的縫紉事工「多加團契」。

8.   May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

9.   May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
