Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. Sharing messages 7 times in 30 days, we had a crazily busy month in Kaohsiung and managed to finish all the banking chores the day before we hopped on our flight. We safely arrived in Reno on Thursday, the 27th.
感謝您忠心地為我們禱告。我們在高雄度過了瘋狂忙碌的一個月，30 天內分享信息七場，並在登機前一天完成了所有銀行事務。我們於 27 日星期四安全抵達雷諾。
We especially thank God for letting us fellowship with some of my students who are now pastors in the aboriginal areas in Taiwan and allowing their being faithful, creative, and persistent in their ministries strengthen us. They were my students when they studied in the seminary, and now are my friends and role models. What a precious friendship over 20 years!
特別感謝上帝讓我們與我的幾位學生們團聚，他們如今都是台灣原住民地區的牧師。上帝藉著他們忠心、有創意、堅持不懈的服事精神堅固了我們的心志。他們在神學院時是我的學生，現在是我的朋友和榜樣。二十年的情誼多麼珍貴！。
However, we didn’t have time to spend with the family though I have dealt with my old parents’ financial issue. What is very worrisome is that my mum, suffering from dementia for 6 years, now can hardly swallow any solid food. Thankfully, she is still accepted by the senior people’s daycare center. My dad is having hemodialysis three times a week. He looks more energetic than he did before starting the hemodialysis. But his dementia symptom is worsening rapidly. We are thinking about going back to Taiwan again in July as I have to get a new passport soon.
然而，雖然我已經處理了年邁父母的財務問題，但我們沒有時間陪伴家人。非常令人擔憂的是，我的媽媽患失智症6年了，現在幾乎無法吞嚥任何固體食物。值得慶幸的是，老人日間照顧中心仍然願意收她。我父親每週進行三次血液透析。他看起來比開始血液透析之前更有活力。但他的失智症狀正在急速惡化。我的護照既然不久就必須換新，我們正在考慮今年七月再次返回台灣。
Since arriving in the USA, we have been rushing around, too. Thank God that we moved into a weekly hotel on the first of April and will stay here for at least a week. Bedsides getting a new passport and a new deriver’s license, Douglas has to do a lot of banking work, go to quite a few doctors’ appointments, and a long list of other appointments. A month of staying is going to be very tight.
打從抵達美國以來，我們也是奔波到現在。感謝上帝，四月一日我們住進短租套房，會在這裡至少住一個星期。除了護照、駕照，道格拉斯有一堆銀行事務要辦理、必須看幾趟醫生，還有一大串其它部門的事務要跑。一個月的停留，行程非常緊湊。
Thank God that we have supportive fellowships with our church in Reno. Although we are so busy that we get sick physically, mentally we feel like we have "landed safely." and can be established. We are blessed with fellowships that truly reflect what the Bible says in Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
感謝上帝，我們與雷諾的教會有理解狀況又承接情緒的肢體關係。身體上我們雖然忙到生病了，精神上卻感到「安全著陸」且被建造。我們很榮幸能有這樣體現《聖經》箴言 27:17的團契“鐵磨鐵，磨出刃來；朋友相感，也是如此。”。
I am glad to receive the photos of the Dorcas Fellowship of SSEC Church in Ambounti, PNG. I admire Beverlyn and Jennifer very much. If it were me, I might not be able to do better than them on many decision-making issues.
The first minor group of women were about to finish their choir robes and were eager to make their debut even the work is not completed yet. Afterwards, the two teachers will serve the next minor group of students.
Let's continue to pray for Bevleryn and Jennifer as they not only made patterns for 27 women, but also taught them in groups how to cut fabric and sew choir robes, many of which involved sewing techniques that were completely unfamiliar to them. May God provide two of them abundantly with their children's school fees.
We should also thank God for the great wisdom and patience He placed in their hearts, making them both real tailors.
很高興收到新幾內亞安布恩提SSEC教會的多加團契照片。我很佩服貝芙琳和珍妮佛，如果是我，在許多決策的議題上，可能沒能做的比她們好。
第一批的婦女即將完成她們的詩班袍，雖未完成卻迫不及待早早亮相。之後她們兩位教師還要服事下一批的學員。
咱們為貝芙琳和珍妮佛繼續禱告吧！她們不但為27名婦女打版，還分批教她們裁布與縫製詩班袍，其中有許多她們完全不熟悉的縫紉技術。願上帝豐富供應她們兩人足夠的子女學費。
更要感謝上帝在她們心中放入莫大的智慧及耐心，成就她們兩人成為真正的裁縫師。

1. May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。
2. Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。
3. May God grant His Divine guidance in further direction of Dorcas Ministry of PIM (training sewing teachers for churches).
求上帝指引我們PIM多加事工(訓練縫紉教師以協助教會外展事工)進一步的走向。
4. May God bless the ladies who serve God through Dorcas Fellowship and sewing resource supplements: Beverlyn, Jennifer Y, Mrs. Kasen and Merolyn. Especially, three of them have difficulty in their children’s school fees.
求上帝恩待透過多加團契及供應縫紉資源來服事上帝的這幾位婦女：貝芙琳、珍妮芙·Y、卡森太太及梅若琳。尤其，七中三位婦女還欠著子女學費。
5. May God be in charge at the PIM USA boards’ meeting that is going to be held on 26th of April.
美國PIM將於四月26日召開理監事會，求上帝在會中掌權。
6. Douglas and I are leaving USA for PNG at the end of April. May God grant us wisdom and strength in finishing the must tasks before we leave.
我和道格拉斯將於四月底離開美國前往新幾內亞。願上帝賜給我們智慧和力量，讓我們在離開前順利完成必須辦好的事情。
7. May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
8. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
