Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. One more Level 2 student passed the exam for the certificate last week. And the Level 1 students have come back to practice for their exam. They are very encouraged by knowing many of you are praying for them. Sabeth is having her emotional difficulties. But realizing two facts about our relationship makes her calm down. One is that I will be her friend no matter she goes for further level of sewing or not; the other, I am a servant of God and will not be influenced by her. I understand more of what the women need and what they are struggling with when I spend time being with them. What they need are very different from the women in other third world countries that we see on TV. Without further cultural observation, we could end up forcing them to accept what “we think” they need.
感謝您忠心地為我們禱告。上星期又有一名第二級的學生通過證書考試，第一級學生也都回來練習他們的考試。知道您們當中很多人在為她們禱告，這些婦女們也深受鼓舞。莎白還是有她的情緒問題，但是當她明白我跟她之間關係的兩個事實之後，她有冷靜下來了。其一是，不論她是否進一步學習，我們的友誼不會改變；其二是，我是上帝的僕人，她不能影響我。花更多時間陪伴她們，讓我更了解她們的需要以及她們的掙扎。她們的需要與我們在電視上看到的第三世界國家婦女很不一樣。若非進一步的文化觀察，我們可能反倒是在強迫她們接受我們以為她們需要的事物。
The boxes that contain the food we brought from Wewak are close to be empty. It’s time for Douglas and me to prepare for our leaving Ambunti.
我們從威瓦克帶來的食物箱子快要見底了，(麵粉、米、麵、茶、咖啡、麥片、雞蛋、牛奶…都要從城市帶進來，否則要花幾倍的價錢在此購買。)現在我們要開始為離開安布恩提做準備。

1. May God be in charge of the fuel crisis in PNG.
願上帝在新幾內亞的燃油危機中掌權。
2. The system problems of the bank used by PIM have not been solved yet, the staff of PIM in Wewak spend hours in the bank every week. PIM have to make fund transaction from the US to PNG several times a month. May God bless the fund wiring process.
PIM使用的銀行系統問題尚未能解決，PIM威瓦克中心的員工每個星期都要在銀行待花好幾個小時。PIM每個月要從美國將數筆資金匯入新幾內亞，求神保守資金電匯的流程。
3. May God strengthen AOG Church in Malu and cease the fights among villages.
求神堅固馬露神召會，並止息部落間的械鬥。
4. Five of the Level 1 sewing class students and three of the Level 2 students are practicing for their exams for getting certificates. May God strengthen them.
五位第一級縫紉班的學生及三名第二級的學生正在練習領證的考試，求神加力量給她們。
5. Douglas and I are going to visit Oum on June 1st and 2nd. That is 6 hours boat ride away from Ambunti. And this village is soaked in water at this time of the year. May God provide good weather for sailing there and back, and our hiking in the swampy area.
道格拉斯和Sandy六月一日和二日要去歐烏姆，搭船六個小時才到得了。而這個時候這個村子幾乎是泡在水裡。求神賞賜好天氣讓我們安全行船以及在沼澤區步行。
6. Douglas and I are going to do some shopping in Australia, and are supposed to leave Ambunti next week. The airstrip in Ambunti is flooded at the moment and the planes are not able to land on it. May God grant us enough sun to dry it out and make the flight possible.
道格拉斯和我將到澳洲採購，下星期必須離開安布恩提。目前安布恩提的飛機跑道積水，飛機無法在此起降。願上帝賞賜足夠的日照將跑道曬乾，讓我們可以順利飛行。
7. May God heal Douglas’ swollen ankle.
願上帝治癒道格拉斯腫脹的腳踝。
8. My visa is due on July, 10th, and Douglas’ visa is due on June 14th. The application is in process. May God be in charge.
Sandy的簽證將於7月10日到期，道格拉斯的簽證將於6月14日到期。已經申請但尚未有結果。願上帝掌管一切。
9. May God take care of my old parents, grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
