11 May [1824

William Wilberforce, London, to John Ryland, Jr., Bristol, 11 May [1824].

My dear Dr

I will endeavour without delay to interest Mr Grant in behalf of ye St Helena people – I shall be glad however to see ye other Letter you speak of – Would I had been Halls Hearer – By ye way when you write next, can you tell me who is ye Author of ye very able article agst Antinomianism in the Eclectic for this Month –

Eyes still weak, but I preferrd in yr Case a short & hurried Letter to ye formality of an ananuensis –

I am with Esteem & Regard

  My dear Dr

  yours sincerely

  W Wilberforce

Revd Dr Ryland
