Hockliff, Bedfordshire, Baptists

Hockliff Baptists – There may have been a small group of Baptists (not organized as a church) meeting in a home in the first decade of the 19th century. One group of dissenters (possibly the group mentioned by Morris) registered with the Archdeacon's Court on 27 January 1806 to meet in the house of William Read, Hockliff.
