William Armitage

William Armitage (1738-1794) was born at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, and studied under James Scott at the Heckmondike Academy. He served as an Independent minister at Horton, Yorkshire (1765-1769), and Delph (1769-1772) before moving to the Independent meeting at Chester, where he served from 1772 until his death in 1794.
