Hughes to Littley

Joseph Hughes, Battersea, to Rev. R. Littley, 31 July 1833.

Dear Sir

I am willing, & desirous also, to employ the sabbath, time after time, in such manner as the friends among whom I travel, may deem most conducive to the best welfare of those around them; & therefore hope it will be in my power to comply with your request.

I am expected at Mansfield on the 16th of August, & at Eastwood or Grisby on the 19th—Again, I am expected at Chapel I think on the 23d, & at Bakewell, on the 26th—You can judge, from your knowledge of the County, which day it will be more convenient & economical for me to select; addressing a line to me, which will find me at Nottingham, on the 13th, or Newark the 15th, or Mansfield the 16th Be so good as to give directions for the route—with best wishes, & the hope of profitable interviews,

                                 I am, Dear Sir,

                                                  Yours truly,

                                                                    J Hughes
