Meeting of Protestant Dissenters at Bristol

fol. 107.  Printed notice of the Bristol meeting for Gloucester, Somerset and Monmouth, held at the Charity School in Stokes-croft, 25 August 1790, and sent to Wood, with Richard Bright as chair.

 

They thank the London committee and support their efforts in the last campaign and note that they “are persuaded, the Defeat of such Applications ought to be, in no Degree, imputed to any Defect in their Management of them.” They have chosen as their representatives to the national committee, Rev. Dr. Benjamin Davies, Hatton Garden; Mr. Samuel Toulmin, Wallbrook; and Mr. F. Kemble, Swithin’s-Lane.
