Sir

        It is esteem’d of importance to know our strength.  At the desire of Mr Hobhouse Chairman of the Protestt Dissentrs of the County of Wilts.  I request you will have the goodness to favor him with the number, as near as you can of the friends to the application for the repeal of the Corporation & Test Acts within your district.  Mr Hobhouse is much oblig’d by your communication of the Lettr to Mr Wilberforce, it will be esteem’d an additional obligation both by him & the Committee if you will favor him with a copy of W. Wilberforce’s Letter which gave rise to the Answer--& likewise of any other transactions relative thereto.  I am &c.
