Robert Norton

Norton, Robert (d. 1814), was Thomas Mullett’s brother-in-law, the husband of Hannah Evans (1746-1807), daughter of Hugh Evans of Bristol. Like Mullett, he too would leave Bristol and the Broadmead church, removing to Nailsworth where he became a successful clothier and tobacconist. His daughter, Sarah Evans Norton Biggs (1768-1834), would become a friend of the poet Mary Steele and become known as well to the diarist Crabb Robinson. See Evans, Family Chronicle, 40-41.
