Thomas Chatteris

Thomas Chatteris of 80 Cornhill, London, was one of the partners in the banking firm of Fuller, Chatteris, & Co., 24 Lombard Street, London, of which Sarah Fuller’s deceased father, William Fuller, had been the principal owner. In 1813, Benjamin Flower referred to the firm as Messrs. Chatteris and Co. in his Cautionary Hints (14).  Chatteris was a Dissenter, most likely an Independent, although in 1804-05 he subscribed to the Baptist Missionary Society (BMS Periodical Accounts, 3.131).
