Long Family of Salisbury

Long Family of Salisbury – The Longs first appear in the Brown Street Subscription Book in Salisbury in 1797. They would continue to remain a prominent family in the church for several decades. In the 1790s, there were two Longs in business in Salisbury: a Charles Long, cabinet maker; and a Richard Long, music master. See Universal British Directory (1791), vol. 4.
