fol. 11.  MS. letter from Henry Duncombe, London, to William Wood, Leeds, 11 May 1789.

May 11th

Sr

I have the Pleasure of inclosing to you the Notification from Ld Sydney of his having presented your Address to his Majesty.

You & your Gentlemen who are friends to the Repeal of the Test & Corporation Acts, will not be much mortified at the Defeat in that Question, when you observe it was affected only by a Majority of 20.

I am Sr with great respect

                        Your obliged

                                    humble Ser

                                                H Duncombe

Mr W. Wood
