W. C. Comstock 

W. C.  Comstock (1809-1844) was the son of a New York Baptist minister. Comstock worked as an attorney before becoming an American Baptist missionary. He spent one year at the Hamilton Literary and Theological Institution (now Colgate University) and then sailed with his wife for Burma, arriving in early 1835. They settled in Arracan, establishing churches and schools until his death in 1844 as a result of cholera. See W. H.
