Thomas Porter

Thomas Porter (1734-85) succeeded William Hextal (1711-77) in 1778 as minister to the Independent meeting in King’s Street, a splinter congregation from Hextal’s former congregation at Castle Hill, Northampton, formed in 1775. Porter had previously served at Hinckley, Leicestershire (1765-72) and Romsey, Hampshire (1772-78), and left Northampton early in 1785.
