Printed Letter by Sir John Carter on behalf of Protestant Dissenters of Hampshire Spring 1790

fol. 96.  A printed letter from Sir John Carter in Portsmouth, representing the Dissenting Ministers committee for Hampshire.

Carter is informing the London committee that they will meet in June to move forward the process of a National Plan of Union, expecting a national meeting in London at the close of summer.  They have resolved to continue applying for repeal, and the subcommittee for the Plan of Union consisted of Rev. Russell Scott, Rev. David Bogue, Mr. Williams, Mr. Sharp, Rev. John Mills, and Dr. Waller.  The committee voted thanks to Bogue for his tract “Reasons for seeking a Repeal of the Corporation and Test Acts.”
