fol. 97(b).  MS.  [in Wood’s hand] of a meeting of the General Committee of Protestant Dissenters in the West Riding, held at Wakefield 28 January 1790, Samuel Walker, chairman.

 

The committee thanks Wyvill for his letter to Samual Shore, also appoints Wood and James Milner jun as messengers to confer with Wyvill on the repeal process, thank Rev. Parsons for attending the Midlands meeting, and informing Edward Jeffries that J. P. Heywood, Rev. Groves, and William Hudson Esq. would be the committee’s representative in London.   The committee also requests a subcommittee be formed to “digest a plan for forming a general repository, in which the deeds, registers, & all public writings of the Dissenters in the County of York may be preserved, & report such plan to a future meeting of the committee.”
