Thrapston Baptist Church – Baptists began meeting at Thrapston c. 1773; a building was eventually erected and opened on March 27, 1788, though the first stated minister was Reynold Hogg (1752-1843) in 1790. He would remain at Thrapston until 1808. Hogg was present at the founding of the Baptist Missionary Society at Kettering in 1792 and served as the Society’s first treasurer.
