fol. 33.  A printed copy of the resolutions from the initial meeting at Taunton of the Dissenting Ministers in the county of Somerset, 23 September 1789, William Hawker, chairman, sent to Wood. 

They resolve to form a committee as well in order to better communicate with London and the other counties. The members include Rev. Ward, Joshua Toulmin, Rev. Darracott, William Hawker, Esq., Samuel Farr, M.D., William Mills, Esq.,Malachi Blake, Esq;, Rev. Mr. Ward, John Locke, Esq., Mr. Norman, Mr. Jeffries, Mr. Buncombe, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Bovet, Mr. Parsons, and Mr. Willis, and others not named.  They also recommend that at the next election voters should note how the candidates stand on this issue and are “known to be steady Friends to civil and religious Liberty.”
