Timothy Durrant

Timothy Durrant was a farmer from Lesiate. He joined the nearby congregation at King’s Lynn in 1790 and began assisting William Richards in preaching and conducting some of the affairs of the church. In 1800 the management of the church fell primarily into his hands. He would serve as pastor until 1808, during which time a new chapel was built. After his resignation, he remained a deacon in the church until 1812. See The Baptists in King’s Lynn (King’s Lynn: n.p., 1939), 13-14.
