John Edward Taylor
John Edward Taylor (1791-1844), became the founder of the Manchester Guardian; he was the son of the poet Mary Scott Taylor (1751-93) and John Taylor (1752-1827), a former Presbyterian minister turned Quaker schoolmaster.
