Joseph Diver

Joseph Diver (d. 1780) was a leader in the Soham church during a part of Andrew Fuller’s tenure as pastor from 1775 to 1782. Diver was baptized and joined the church at the same time as Fuller (April 1770) and they became close friends, sharing preaching duties for more than three years after the departure of John Eve in 1771, leading to Fuller’s call to the ministry in January 1774. Fuller found Diver’s conversation helpful during the years immediately following his conversion, functioning much like a father figure (Diver was more than twenty years Fuller’s senior).
