Thomas Scott

Thomas Scott (1747-1821) was an evangelical Anglican divine in Olney and later in London, where he became a popular Bible commentator best known for his Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments:  with Original Notes and Practical Observations, 3 vols. (1802–1804). He was also a correspondent of John Ryland, Jr. His second wife, Mary Egerton Scott, was a close friend of Maria Grace Saffery.
