Anne Knight

Anne [née Waspe] Knight (1792–1860) was a Quaker children's writer born at Woodbridge, Suffolk. She married in 1818 her first cousin and fellow Quaker James Knight (1794–1820) of Southwark. After her husband's early death, she returned to Woodbridge, where by 1826 she was keeping a school. She was the author of a number of books for children, including School-Room Lyrics (1846), and most probably Poetic Gleanings (1827), Mornings in the Library (1828), and Mary Gray (1831).
