Benjamin Wallin

Benjamin Wallin (1711-82) was the son of Edward Wallin (1678-1733), pastor at Maze Pond, Southwark, 1703-33. The younger Wallin did not train for the ministry and at the time of his calling to Maze Pond in 1740 he was actively engaged in business.  He remained minister at Maze Pond until his death in 1782.  He published over forty sermons, pamphlets, and books, including The Folly of Neglecting Divine Institutions (1758).
