Edward Ransford

Edward Ransford (1738-1813) served as a deacon in the church at Broadmead for the last 23 years of his life and left a legacy to the church.  This entry concerns his daughter, who had married a Mr Churchill. Ransford’s son, Thomas, was a hat manufacturer in Wine Street, Bristol, and lived at 8 Orchard Street. Like his father, he too was a leader in the Broadmead church. The younger Ransford married Ann Gay, a member of Broadmead, but she died in 1793. There was also an Edward Ransford, Jr., who joined Broadmead on 9 October 1788.
