Hamburger buns
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard
1/2 lemon, squeezed
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce (Lea and Perrins is gluten free)
1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Paprika (some may prefer Smoked Paprika)
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. oregano
Directions:
In a large pan, sauté the ground meat and onion until the meat is no longer pink and the onion is tender and translucent. Drain the meat.
Mix in the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and all seasonings.
Simmer on medium heat until flavors meld, about 20 minutes. Serve on buns.
