1 cup butter, softened
3.5 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt (omit if using salted butter)
Beat butter, sugar and salt.
Add milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Yields enough frosting for 12 cupcakes.
