Ingredients for cake:
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup cocoa
Ingredients for glaze:
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. honey
1/8 tsp. vanilla
Directions for cake:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease baking pan. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler. Stir until completely melted.
Turn off heat and remove bowl with chocolate from double boiler.
Add sugar to chocolate, stirring to incorporate.
After the mixture cools a little, add eggs and whisk till mixed.
Whisk in cocoa until batter has no clumps.
Pour batter into greased 8x8 baking pan.
Bake for 20 minutes until firm. Cool for five minutes then serve.
Directions for glaze:
Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler.
Take bowl off the heat and add milk, honey and vanilla.
Stir until glossy, then cool for 3 minutes.
Drizzle or pour over cooled cake and serve immediately.
