2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup caramels, unwrapped
4 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. fine sea salt
Whipped cream (optional)
Caramel ice cream topping (optional)
Directions:
Add chocolate chips, caramels, milk heavy cream, and vanilla to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours. Stir the hot chocolate. If the chocolate chips or caramels are not completely melted, cover and allow to cook for 20-30 minutes. When ready to serve, stir in the sea salt. Serve hot with whipped cream and caramel topping if desired.
