1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk (use a tbsp. of vinegar in the cup to curdle the milk)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Approximately 4-5 cups of flour, give or take to make stiff dough
Directions:
Add the vinegar to the milk and allow to sit for a while. Cream the butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and then add enough flour to make a stiff dough - typically between 4 - 41/2 cups of flour. Roll with a rolling pin and cut into desired shapes. Bake in 375 oven until just lightly golden brown, about 8 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
