Velvet Crumb Cake

1 1/2 cups Bisquick

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

2 tbsp. shortening

1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 8x8 dish. Beat all ingredients together on low speed, scraping sides of bowl. Pour into dish and bake until toothpick comes out clean, about 30 - 35 minutes. Should be lightly golden on top. Top with Grandma Rector's chocolate sauce and serve warm.
