1 pkg. (about 15 oz.) gluten free devil's food cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup caramel topping
Additional topping and chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions; stir in pecans, chocolate chips and vanilla. Spread batter in prepared pan. Drizzle 1/2 cup caramel topping over batter; swirl caramel into batter with knife.
Bake 30 - 35 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan and toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool slightly on wire rack. Top with additional caramel toppings and pecans, if desired. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
