OSC - Stamford 'Nigel Kettle' Open Singles Draw

The draw for this event has now been made and some exciting fixtures are on the cards. Five of the top 20 players in the World, according to the World Bowls Tour, are due to come to Stamford to competed for the winners prize of £750.

The tournament will kick of the Saturday evening of 1st October with some 1st round games between some of the local players in Lincolnshire. Then on the Sunday the competition will heat up with the inclusion of last year's winner Mark Royal; World No. 1, Nick Brett, Greg Harlow, Les Gillett, Jamie Walker and many more.

The second session on the Sunday, due to start at around 9.50 am is certainly one not to be missed. Jamie Walker, 2015 Thomas Taylor 'Bowler of the Year' from Northamptonshire takes on Stamford's Stephen Harris who with his partner, Darren Middleton, won this year's outdoor under 25s Federation Pairs. At the same time Stamford member and past senior Federation singles winner, Bob Warters, takes on World number 4 Greg Harlow and World number 1, Nick Brett is due to face the up and coming junior at Stamford, the eight year old, Owen Aspinall.
