National Team Dates Announced

Stamford men have been drawn against local rivals Grantham in the Denny inter-club competition when the English indoor bowls season resumes on November 9, after a season's break because of Covid restrictions.

The last time the two clubs met - in the Denny Plate in 2017 - Grantham won by eight shots overall, Four rinks will play simultaneously - two at home and two away.

Stamford women have a bye in the four-rink Yetton team trophy and will play the winner of Peterborough and Spalding on November 20.

Stamford bowlers have also entered the Top Club and Egham competitions. In the TopClub on October 10 they entertain Church Gresley, a demanding event which includes points for men's and women's singles, mixed pairs, triples and rinks. The winner will be at home to either Leicester or Melton.

In the Egham Trophy - two mixed rinks at home, two away - they face Barwell on October 31.

Individual national competition draws for EIBA events will be revealed in a couple of weeks.
