Stamford's Lincs Women's League players consolidated their position at the top of the Trudy Bates A Division with a 30-shot defeat of local rivals Sleaford.

The 14 points they picked up from the 16 available - from four winning rinks in a 107-77 triumph - keeps them well clear of fellow title-chasers Spalding with 70 points from six fixtures, though Spalding have a game in hand.

Stamford's top rink - a 33-7 success by Janet Dye, Carol Warters, Sue Moir and Denise Mackie - came at the expense of Sleaford team captain Sheila Pratt and included three four-counts.
