New talent on show at first Open session

The indoor club received a real shot in the arm when we hosted the first of our open sessions to potential new players on Saturday.

With coaches and experienced bowlers on hand to offer advice the club was delighted by the response to their promotion and believes it has already discovered new talent, including eight-year-old Keenan Rigby, James Hebden, 13 year-old grandson of one of its regular members, and 15 year-old Polina Toner.A second free open session will to be held at the club in Exeter Gardens on Saturday, Sept 28, from 9.30 am to noon when equipment is also provided.Stamford IBA stages its first competitive match on Sunday (2.10pm) when it entertains Dunholme in the Lincolnshire Mixed League.
