It was a close battle throughout, which Stamford looked like losing when Ken White's rink faltered to drop eight shots in two ends. But Charlie Jones' quartet rallied with five shots to help win the game and claim nine of the 14 points at stake.

All club members can take part in a range of competitions throughout the winter months on pre-scheduled nights, which will culminate in the finals weekend on April 9/10, 2022.
As well as singles, pairs, triples and fours for men and women, there are three mixed competitions and an Open singles for seniors aged 65 and over. A novice triples is available to those who have never won a club competition and were not a member prior to 2017. Entry fee is £1 per player per competition.

NORTHANTS FEDERATION TEAMS FACE TO FACE
Northants Bowling Federation's A and B teams clash in the opening fixture of the inter-county Derbyshire Trophy season at Stamford IBC on Sunday November 7 (10 am) when the B team will be hoping to inflict an early defeat on the southern section holders, who reached the final for the second successive year in October.
The match is a four rink format of two-bowl triples. The B team is: Stuart Agger, Cliff Watson, Graham Agger; Les Sharp, Neil Wright, Jonathan Earl; Gareth Dickenson, Brian Bassam, John Holroyd; Andy Cox, Mick Greaves, Mick Linnell.
