What can one say, we won our weekend friendly against Sleaford by a whopping 134 -54. So no need to waffle on this week. Well done to our best rink skipped by Maurice Dye who romped away with a massive 38-6 win which included a six, two fives and three fours. Ron Blake’s rink was hot on his heels winning 29-8 including a seven on the fifteenth end. Nigel Trigg’s trio chipped in with a commendable 22-5 after leading from the fourth end. Serena Brunning playing lead for the first time in a friendly helped her rink to finish up 17-13. Howard Neath was our ‘come back kid’, after being 8-11 down after twelve ends, he took another tablet to rally his troops to finish up 18-13. Commiserations to Bob Hulka’s rink who were leading 9-5 but then got stuck on nine from the eleventh end to go down 9-19. Let’s hope we can keep the winning formula going for our last ‘friendly’ of the season at Boston. D.S.
