Four Stamford IBC bowlers helped Northants Bowling Federation complete a hat-trick of wins in the Eversley Trophy at Lincoln IBC on Sunday.
Martyn Dolby, Simon Law, Ally Mc Naughton and Bob Warters featured in this unprecedented triple with this win for county executives, scoring more points in two rinks of two-bowl triples, than six other counties.
Northants , who also included Peterborough IBC’s Graham Agger and Andy Cox (playing alongside Dolby) beat Lincs, Hunts and Humberside and drew with Norfolk to claim 19 points and a superior shot difference to North Cambs.
Said county chairman Dolby: “ It was a proud day for the county to win three in a row and sets us up nicely to compete in the English Bowling Federation men’s and women’s finals which start at Lincoln on April 22.”

Kevin Vinter has re-shuffled his team to contest the final of the Lincs Over 60 League against Lincoln A at Boston IBC on Thursday, April 24 (1pm).
The experienced Mick Owens has been drafted in to replace the injured Derek King and will play No.2 in Roger Martin’s rink.
Team: Pete Linnell, Peter Burt, Martin Hewitt, Kevin Vinter; Tony Barwell, Don Bruce, Bob Warters, Jeff Pitt; Jeff Bourne, Mick Owens, Mick Linnell, Roger Martin; Dave Heffernan, Pete Smith, Tony Scarr, Trevor Collins. Transport leaves SIBC at 11 am prompt.
