STAMFORD IBC has introduced a media screen at its Exeter Gardens stadium to help keep members further updated on achievements and upcoming events. It has been purchased courtesy of a donation from Great Casterton Bowls Club, which folded in 2015.

Almost daily news and notices, including forthcoming fixtures will be added to its memory and held for view at 15-20 second interludes before rolling on to the next item, enabling bowlers and visitors to keep up to date with what it is happening at the club.

The screen, supplied after several quotations by AllSee Technologies in Birmingham, is not a television for broadcasting but will inform and educate and help re-direct bowlers to the recently upgraded noticeboards, add their names to team sheets or merely check on league tables and county and club competitions.

It is also planned to offer the facility to our current advertisers to supplement the boards on the surrounding walls of the club currently being sold to local businesses and organisations by Maggie Holden, who will always be grateful for suggestions for advertisers and contacts.

To add events for consideration on the screen, please contact Bob Warters or Keith Rippin or, in the summer months, Alan Romaine.
