Stamford's Over 60s team beat Dunholme on all rinks to capture the 18 points they needed to gain promotion back to the First Division.

Their 133-69 victory was more than Stamford could have hoped against the early league leaders and sets them up for re-promotion to a league from which they were relegated last year. Boston are expected to join them in the first division.

Though the team ran into a rich vein of form towards the end of the season none of,it's players are getting any younger and it will probably need an injection of new faces to maintain their status among the top senior teams in the county.

Mick Owens continued his recent good form by skipping the top rink, assisted by Tony Barwell, Gerry Corby and Trevor Christie, with a 30-11 scoreline.
