Stamford’s mixed team were unable to halt Sleaford’s unbeaten run in the Lincs IBA League (South) beaten by 40 shots by the home side. They emerged with only a point from the 14 on offer against a side who are in their first season back in the competition.

Stamford A bid to reach the Area semi-final of the EIBA Over 60 Double rink on Tuesday against Sleaford, fielding a team of eight - four playing at home and away simultaneously (10 am).
In the last round they beat former winners Boston but this time take on the team that knocked out Stamford B in the first round, with Jeff Pitt drafted in to the home team.

On Saturday December 28, Stamford Indoor Bowls Club stages its annual Christmas Open Fours gala with £300 prizemoney. Teams of four (£20 entry fee) will play four 7-end matches. Places are still available but must be received before the deadline of noon on December 13.
Elizabeth Wallace and Christine Ford have reached the next stage of the EIBA Senior pairs, claiming four shots to snatch victory at Sleaford.
Against Rhoda Wing and Sheila Pratt, they trailed 16-19 playing the last end but converted the deficit to win 20-19.
It was a similar story in the Lincs final pairs qualifying against club colleagues Margaret King and Shirley Suffling where they won on the last end.
