Lincolnshire Indoor Bowling Association, to which Stamford IBC is affiliated, has revealed that for season 2019-20, its mixed leagues will comprise six teams in division one and seven in division two.

The move follows the acceptance of a second team from Skegness IBC into the competition making a total of 13.

Consideration was also given to a third division of just three clubs ( with five each in the other divisions) but this was rejected.

The decision will help those clubs, particularly in the first division, also committed to EIBA Egham Trophy and Top Club events, to minimise possible fixture congestion.

Said competition secretary Simon Reeson: "The Mixed League formation was not unanimous but it was very much the feeling among the majority of clubs."

The men's leagues will remain as this season with two relegated and two promoted, similarly the Over 60s leagues.
