Deception

Description: Deception is used to lie, deceive, misdirect, and even feint against people. Deception checks don't have their own DCs, instead going against the target's Will Defense (or the character can make an Awareness check if doing so would potentially be greater than their Will Defense).

Feint is a special type of action in combat which causes its target to lose their Dexterity to Reflex Defense. Using a Feint action is a standard action and goes against their target's Will Defense just like any Deception check.

Deception is also used to disguise yourself. To disguise yourself you need a Disguise Kit (50 G), and the proper attire needed to disguise if applicable (price and availability is up to the GM). Deception (Disguise) attempts made without a Disguise Kit impose a -5 penalty. It takes time to set up disguises with simple disguises taking up to 1 hour while complex disguises take up to 4 hours.

This skill uses Charisma.
