Those who summon allies from beyond to fight for them, a summoner relies on their summons to fight for them and augment their power.
Summoners possess a d6 Hit Die, and they start the game with 30 Hit Points (plus double Constitution and other modifiers). By spending 3 XP the Summoner can gain a Hit Die, increasing their Hit Points accordingly.
They also receive a +4 bonus to Will Defense.
Summoners receive a +1 bonus to one of the following attributes; Constitution, Intelligence, or Charisma.
Increasing these attributes outside of character creation is done at a discount (10 XP per increase instead of 20 XP)
Summoners receive a +0 Attack Bonus.
By spending 5 XP the Summoner can increase their Attack Bonus by +1, to a maximum of +8.
Summoners receive 1 rank in the following skills at character creation;
Artisan
Awareness
Handle Animal
Knowledge (Magic, Dark Magic, and Planes)
Linguistics
Persuasion
Spellcraft
Use Magic Device
Summoners receive the following starting feats;
Summoners have the uncanny ability to increase the power of those they summon. Any creature they summon through the Summons spell list receive a competence bonus to attack and damage equal to the Summoner's casting stat.
Summoners rely on their summons to defend them, and often stay close to them. While the summoner is adjacent to any creatures they have summoned, they receive a +2 bonus to all of their Defenses, and if they would take damage or be moved down the condition track they can choose to have their summon be subjected to it instead.
