Forger

Forger

Forgers are inventors first and foremost, and combatants second. They create gear, and either hand it off for others to test, or the more daring of them test it themselves...

HP & Defenses

Forgers possess a d8 Hit Die, and they start the game with 40 Hit Points (plus double Constitution and other modifiers). By spending 3 XP the Forgers can gain a Hit Die, increasing their Hit Points accordingly.

They also receive a +4 bonus to Will Defense.

Stat Bonuses

Forgers receive a +1 bonus to one of the following attributes; Dexterity, Intelligence, or Wisdom.

Increasing these attributes outside of character creation is done at a discount (10 XP per increase instead of 20 XP)

Attack Bonus

Forgers receive a +1 Attack Bonus.

By spending 5 XP the Forger can increase their Attack Bonus by +1, to a maximum of +10.

Skill Points

Forgers receive 1 rank in the following skills at character creation;

  • Awareness

  • Drive

  • Knowledge (Magic and Technology)

  • Spellcraft

  • Use Computers

  • Use Magic Device

In addition they receive 2 ranks in two different uses of Artisan (for example: Artisan {Computers} and Artisan {Weapons})

Jury-Rig

Forgers are incredibly good at creating items on the fly, and can use this talent to get out of a sticky situation. By spending an amount of gold on-hand, they can create an item of any kind (weapon, armor, magic item, and so on). This costs 3/4 the item's price, and the Forger must spend a full-round action creating it. If the item has a per-use limit (such as a wand) it only possesses one use, and if not the item lasts for 1 minute.

Forgers can spend MP in place of spending gold, doing so is equal to 1 MP for every 50 gold (minimum of 1 MP).

Master Repairman

Forgers are capable of breaking down and repairing items they get their hands upon. By spending gold equal to 1/4 of the item's price the Forger is capable of repairing or destroying a single item so long as they are capable of spending the appropriate amount of time with it (more complex or massive objects may require longer, however most handheld objects require around 1d4 minutes).

Forgers can spend MP in place of spending gold, doing so is equal to 1 MP for every 50 gold (minimum of 1 MP).
