Druid
Druid
Tied to nature and its blessings, Druids commune with these primal forces and channel them through their spellcasting.
HP & Defenses
Druids possess a d8 Hit Die, and they start the game with 40 Hit Points (plus double Constitution and other modifiers). By spending 3 XP the Druid can gain a Hit Die, increasing their Hit Points accordingly.
They also receive a +2 bonus to Fortitude Defense and Will Defense.
Stat Bonuses
Druids receive a +1 bonus to one of the following attributes; Strength, Constitution, or Wisdom.
Increasing these attributes outside of character creation is done at a discount (10 XP per increase instead of 20 XP)
Attack Bonus
Druids receive a +1 Attack Bonus.
By spending 5 XP the Druid can increase their Attack Bonus by +1, to a maximum of +10.
Skill Points
Druids receive 1 rank in the following skills at character creation;
Artisan (Herbalism)
Awareness
Endurance
Handle Animal
Heal
Knowledge (Dungeons, Humanoids, Wilderness)
Ride
Starting Feats
Druids receive the following starting feats;
Beast Shape
Druids can shapeshift into an animalistic form, granting them benefits and turning them into a capable combatant. Doing this is a move action which lasts until the end of an encounter, receiving a bonus to all of their Defenses equal to their Wisdom attribute, and receiving natural attacks appropriate for the creature (either consisting of a Primary and two Secondary attacks such as a bite and two claws, or consisting of a single Primary attack which adds 1.5x Strength modifier to damage).
This can be done a number of times per day equal to the Druid's Wisdom modifier.
herbalist
Druids are Nature-based spellcasters who learn spells from their devotion to nature, and receive four 1 XP spells free at character creation.
They are also able to use Artisan (Herbalism) as a substitute for creating potions, magic wands, or other magic items which use wood. They can also use it in place of Spellcraft on Nature spells.
